Non-NVUSD middle school registration

Students who currently attend a middle school that is not within NVUSD will need to register for a special group appointment with one of our counselors to get registered and select courses for next year. Registration packets will be dropped off at these middle schools the last week of February. Students currently enrolled in NVUSD middle schools do not need to take any special action and will select courses at their middle school.

Incoming 10th - 12th Graders

It might be hard to believe, but it’s already time to begin course registration for next year! We are hosting a number of events and activities to help with this process and to help guide students in making choices for next year that will both challenge and enrich them.

  • February 3rd through February 5th - Counselors will visit English classes to distribute course request cards and begin the course selection process. Students will take these home to discuss with parents/guardians.
  • February 5th at 6:00pm - We will host a parent education workshop at 6:00pm in the Vintage High School library. We will talk about the course registration process and how you can support your student in making their selections for next year. We will review the course registration timeline, share with you which courses are available, and give you tips for helping your student choose a well balanced course load that both enriches their experience and challenges them.
  • On Tuesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 6th, students will be invited to the Little Theater and Cafeteria during our RTI period to learn about AP and honors courses that are offered and talk with students who are currently enrolled in those classes. We know this will help students make an informed decision about taking accelerated classes.
  • February 10th through 13th - Counselors will meet with current 9th through 11th graders to collect their course request cards.
  • March 30th at 6:00pm - We will host our annual Open House event. By this date, we will have mailed home confirmations of course requests. This evening will be an opportunity to learn more about our classes and make any final adjustments/changes to student course requests.
  • April 3rd - Deadline for submitting course request changes to our counseling office.
